A workshop on Recurrent Neural Network – a type of artificial neural network, was jointly conducted by Predictive Analytics Solutions and REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE), Reva University on July 15, 2017.
Recurrent Neural Network are a type of artificial neural network designed to recognize patterns in sequences of data, such as text, genomes, handwriting, the spoken word, or numerical times series data emanating from sensors, stock markets and government agencies.
The workshop included on how Recurrent Neural Network be used to build a good model for sequential data and use of techniques like Long short-term memory (LSTM) and a gating mechanism which is a slightly more dramatic variation on the LSTM called Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU).
